The Surf Motel was very accommodating in re-arranging the dates of my stay. The front desk staff was also very helpful. The rooms were clean and well organized. The motel also had secured parking. The rates were also very affordable. I would definitely stay there again.

Get what you pay for
Very difficult to get into the room, you need to swipe the card about 20 times before one works, then really throw your shoulder into it to get the door to open. Apparently that’s a problem already because the door was dented and bent from everyone doing it. Very strong bleach smell in the room. No hand soap in bathroom. Thin and very old pillows. Beds were comfortable enough otherwise. Only booked this because nothing else in the area was available, but won’t ever stay again.

Great spot
Surprisingly it was a pretty quiet room, for being on lombard st I was surprised. Rooms clean and tidy. Its not a 5 star by any means, but is 5 star for what you paid for. Lots of great funky resturants around just. ablock away. I woiuld stay here again for sure. Included Parking is a big plus!
