The Red Carpet Inn in Duncannon is staffed with an exceptionally attentive employee. We were greeted warmly and were offered a room temperature bottle of water during our fast and easy check-in. Our room was mid and smelled moldy, like old cigarette smoke. The door frame molding was in disrepair, appearing as though it was kicked off the hinges and didn't quite lock properly. The bathtub had cigarette burns along the edge, and the toilet ran incessantly until we lifted the back off to adjust the chain. The shower had a sheer white Bates Motel curtain. The towels were threadbare (thread count approximately 3.5) and coarse but smelled clean. There was a small refrigerator, a microwave, and a small coffee pot with typical hotel coffee and condiments, and the TV was Directv with all the channels. If you're okay with TRULY experiential experiences and can just truly be in the moment, this is the inn for you. Even as shabby as it was, we still had a blast and will definitely go back.
