Great location with amazing views!
We stayed here for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable with enough amenities to prepare basic food. The staff were very friendly and helpful and always on hand with good advice and recommendations. The setting of the Inn is truly amazing and very peaceful. I personally enjoyed watching the squirrels and lizards in the garden and on the beach every day and the kayaks are a nice little extra too. We will be back!

Great place by the water
Nice out of the way place by the water. I don't like a lot of crowds so this kind of place is right up my alley. It's quiet bit still close to lot of restaurants. I would definitely stay here again. The room was spacious and there was a kitchen with a stove and microwave and fridge. The wi-fi was great.

Nice quiet get away.
Husband and I had a nice quiet stay. The facility and room were nice but need of some updating and repair. Pool and deck were very small. Beach area was small but scenic and breezy. There was no where safe to enter the water though so no swimming or even wading in water. Had to be careful where you stepped as we witnessed many times the neighbor dog using the lawn and bench area as his bathroom. There were several local neighbors who occupied the piers on their boats. All were friendly but it was puzzling to understand which was their space and what was the resort space. Lots of restaurants and some shopping within walking and biking distance. Used the bikes and kayaks provided. John Pennecamp State Park was only a couple miles away. Bike trail on both sides of highways for many many miles. All in all a nice retreat.

Disappointing
Although listed as limited availability in the office we didn't think it meant we would never see anyone. We were there two nights and no one checked in with us or attended to the room. This was an apartment not a hotel not sure if we didn't read into the information enough or the listing was misleading. The location is unusual as it is at the end of a road of residential homes and that's it. The marina is small and cute and you can walk to the back of the property and see the water. The room was very clean but worn. We thought it was very overpriced

Okay
Nice, quiet residential location. Perfect for couples. I found the bed a bit uncomfortable and the room a little dated. Overall a nice place to stay but a bit overpriced all things considered. Also noted that my room was not cleaned once during the four nights I stayed, with the exception of changing the trash. Bed was not made nor were towels changed.

Homey, quiet setting
Friendly service, comfortable homey inn. We loved the little beach for watching the sunrise and sunsets. Close to excellent restaurants, enjoyed using the kayaks and paddling around the bay. Rooms need some tlc and updating. Otherwise a wonderful stay.

We didn't want to come home!
When we arrived at Tarpon Flats, we were given a tour of the facilities and amenities available to us, which was really nice. The room was lovely and homey, and the full kitchen made it possible for us to stay in and cook for ourselves a few times during our stay. The beach area was gorgeous, and there was a nice little pool on the property, too. We came for our honeymoon and didn't want to leave when our stay was over! Management was extremely accommodating to us, we were allowed to check in early and check out late! We took advantage of the free kayaks, and were thrilled to find out that the hotel was a ten minute kayak ride from two different beaches and kayak trails through the state park. Beach cruisers were also available for free if you want to bike around the island. If you're into outdoor activities, this is the place for you! We loved everything so much we're already talking about plans for our next trip!

Paradise Found
The only bad thing about our stay was that we had to leave too soon. Everything was wonderful. Gilda and Rose made us feel welcome and were so helpful. Our room had a gorgeous view of the sound and had everything we needed. The small kitchen was great for making breakfast. The bed was firm and comfortable. We loved lying in the hammock on the private beach under the casuarina tree. The bikes and kayaks were always available and put to good use. Although it was too windy for good fishing we used the rods and reels they provided anyway to fish off the point. Local restaurants, recommended by Frank, whose boat is moored there, were delicious. Everyone was so friendly. We can't wait to go back.

Hotel to die for
The view from our second floor room was phenomenal overlooking Key Largo sound. We used the complementary kayaks to explore Pennecamp mangroves. Be sure to take the kayak into the marina.... there is a manatee hanging out! Very comfortable room. Best hotel and we will be back. love it

Has it all
Gilda was great and we so enjoyed the location. Put our kayaks in right in front of room and spent all day out on the water traversing through and around mangroves. We will come again!!!!

Very nice place
We stopped here on our to Key West. Very nice place, although somewhat difficult to find. Signs are not well placed, BTW mile post markers are used instead of street numbers. Also checkout Buzzard' s Roost for dinner, great sea food

Loved our stay here. Will return again one day!
Our anniversary stay here was worth every bit. Quiet, quiet, quiet. Private beach with hammock for 2 in the shade, lounge chairs and table right on the beach with a great view for sunrises and sunsets. Room was very comfortable and everything in perfect working order. Canal and boat docking right out my bedroom window and 3 kayaks for use whenever you please and one is a 2 person. All around during great place.

very quaint place to stay in Key Largo.
we loved it. No fuss, only 4 rooms and the boat owners who have docked there for quite some time are very nice and social. Would not recommend for kids but to get away and have a nice, peaceful time, this is the place.

The real Key Largo
This hotel is a great stay as its away from all the tackiness of Key Largo. The rooms are huge, and generally nice, there's a pool and a nice welcome pack from the owners which was helpful. Basically it's a nice place and a insight into a more residential part of the island.

Excellent location
An oasis of peace and calm just minutes from the main road in Key Largo. Our apartment was clean, spacious and well-equipped. We enjoyed the friendly welcome and the location by the sheltered waters of Key Largo Sound. Our only regret was that we were here for only an overnight stay. We would have loved to stay longer and made use of the complimentary kayaks and bikes. We even had our clearest view of a manatee swimming close by us in the adjacent canal.

Great location, quiet but close to highway for easy sight seeing. Clean room with good self catering facilities. Did not offer breakfast, contrary to information given by Expedia.

Nice place
Excellent hotel. Owner very friendly and provided several pamphlets and places to eat and see within the atea. Place is surrounded by water and within one hour of arriving we saw a manatee in the canal. Very cool. Very close to the main highway and the general sites of key largo. Would definitely stay there again. The maid only makes up the room every other day. But if you want daily service, just have to ask.
