Stayed here for anniversary/ family break. We were a family of four in a double room which was good value.Lovely spacious room, great choice at breakfast.Pool was a good size for a hotel , clean and perfect temperature and all the family enjoyed the facilities.Lobby and bar areas were pleasant to sit in and have a drink.Staff friendly and helpful, particularly Jenny who was so informative, kind and reassuring when my son was ill. I had been up all night with him and was not sure if he needed a doctor to get an inhaler prescription. She was working on the breakfast service and the receptionist suggested talking to her.She was able to phone the out of hours pharmacist and also explain the system for A and E/out of hours GP locally and was just human and kind when I was clearly worried. I do think though that this sort of information should be available on Reception all the time, even if it is the night receptionist on duty so maybe there is some training required here or an information sheet at the very least.Other areas to improve on - decor a bit dated in parts, rooms need more sockets/usb beside bed, promised housekeeping visit did not happen. Finally we were unlucky that the hotel’s electricity failed on our final day, so we missed out on our expected breakfast and final trip to the pool and ended up checking out earlier than planned .This was very disappointing as we had added an extra day to our original booking but could not enjoy it as fully as expected.

Not changed much since it changed hands from Hilton. Rooms comfortable and clean. Beds comfortable. A bar of soap by the sink would have been nice as would a flannel. Tea and coffee facilities provided but no drinking water for those who don’t drink hot drinks.

From reception to bar then restaurant can’t fault it, new ownership of the old Hilton so hopefully Will update it , little things like USB ports bedside like Premier Inn premiere rooms will take it to another level, but we WILL STAY THERE AGAIN!

Check-in staff were lovely, as were the staff at breakfast. The hotel itself is basic, and certainly not a 'spa' experience. The room felt 'tired' and the sound-proofing between rooms is very poor.

Hotel itself was good value. Booked 2 hours before stay so King Suite for £77 (although £150 on Orida/booking). £5 parking.. no reason it can’t be free for guests? Dinner… joke! £16.50 for “Chicken Tikka Massala With poppadoms and naan bread”. Generic microwave Indian ready meal. 1/4 poppadom, 1/4 naan bread. 2 small bowls with no plate. Took 2 mins to eat and still hungry after.
