Lovely 2 day stay . Marred by the fact that the chic restaurant was not open so had a bistro type meal. Surroundings and hotel itself were very peaceful and did the trick to revive the body. Golf course in site was quality for good players.

Staff were friendly, dining options were basic but food all very nice. Hotel room was clean but cigarette butts on balcony floor and cob webs on external windows. The actual hotel grounds and nearby walking paths are lovely and offer some great Kangaroo, Wallaby and bird spotting.

Whilst the accommodation and place itself was lovely we were very disappointed in the food options. The restaurant set menu wasn't to our taste and the bistro had very limited options and if you are vegetarian be happy with char greens and chips. Given Yarra Valley Lodge is out of town I feel more options should be available for different diets. The bistro got very busy because of large groups (who didn't book a table) which made it a very loud place

Nice and very clean rooms. Breakfast was nice with lots of cooked, continental and cold options. However the lunch and dinner (being the same) was for us below average. Looks great but lacking in taste. When trying room service from our room one day we could t get through and had to walk to restaurant to be able to order. Also no pool.
