A Great Hotel in a Quiet Neighborhood
I stayed at Travelers New Orleans between March 2-March 5, 2005 during Mardi Gras. It reminded of a hostel with a private room with a full bathroom. It has a common kitchen, a common area and code entry to the building and the room. It was in a decent location of the "Garden District" about a 20-minute walk from the tourist areas of Bourdon Street and the French Quarter. It was only a few block from the parade route, and close to a pickup for the street car. The only recommendation I have is to do a "turn down" every other day to take out the trash and get a new towel.

Beautiful place, very clean and safe. Only wish mattresses were firmer and a little fridge in the room would be nice. Overall we had a great experience. It was nice to have breakfast in the dining area with Chobani yoghurt, granola, bananas and coffee!

The hotel was beautiful, conveniently located in walking distance to restaurants, coffeehouses, bars, shopping and attractions. A TV in the room would have been nice for local news or relaxing before bed. The included breakfast was a choice of bagels, yogurt, granola, fruit, coffee and juices.

Amazing experience! Very clean and beautiful rooms. The breakfast was so delicious. The woman who made the breakfast was so so nice and she was so attentive to me while I stayed. I absolutely love this place and hope to stay here again for my next trip to New Orleans. The communal kitchen is so clean and welcoming. The soaps smell so lovely and the room are very spacious. I give this place 5 stars.

This place was perfect for one night. Check in was easy, room was clean. It had the bare necessities: a bed, night stands, a desk, water with two glasses, two luggage stands and a bathroom. Which is all we really needed for a late arrival and a one night stay.
There’s a communal area with a kitchen where you can use all the amenities there. There was even food items available for a continental breakfast for the next morning. There was also couches and soft music playing in the communal area. It was nice and clean.
As stated in the listing you have to find your own parking space, I was worried we wouldn’t be able to find one since we arrived around 6 pm but we did, it wasn’t too bad.
If you don’t mind walking 15 min or so there are restaurants options around. There’s also a coffee shop right next door, perfect for the morning if you like specialty coffee.
Overall we had a very nice experience.

I suppose it’s psychologically healthy, but there was no TV. Other than that…such a great place!

Traveler in New Orleans is a very unique facility. The hotel is right in the middle of a neighborhood which makes you feel more like a locals than visitor. It’s close to the downtown area, about a mile. The facility is new and modern. No staff or anyone on site but someone will respond to your texts messages within a minutes. I will strongly recommend this to anyone and I will consider it for my next visit to NOLA.

Very clean. A bit stark for an artist run establishment. Would have like more art displayed. No TV in room which wasn’t a problem but good to know. Only a dining type hard chair in room. Might be helpful to have more comfy chair available to sit on.

Really nice for the price, low key
Wow what a great stay. Very clean, modern, simple place in a charming neighborhood not far from the warehouse district/French quarter but not at all touristy. East walk to St Charles streetcar and there are also buses nearby and it's within the bikeshare area as well to bike locally.
Not at all an "old new orleans" place but across from a luxury hotel if you want to dine/drink out. The residents upstairs do the cleaning and stocking (simple) breakfast items. I hoped this is a pleasant affordable living situation for them, as it works out great for us!
We stayed with a small kid and all was fine but we were not super loud but got shushed by other guests. This makes me think it's not that sound proof, and it was certainly quiet - no partiers that I heard, but could depend on when you are there.
