The thermostat control does not work. Heater was either ON or OFF. Gave up on it and used the portable heater in other room.

The room was nice and spacious. I had to contact the property manager (or similar) when I arrived as I had been given no instructions on how to enter the building or the parking garage. I was then given the number to the site manager to direct me and thankfully she was quick to respond. Getting in and out of the parking garage was a pain as the door doesn’t always want to cooperate.

The hotel staff is also virtual and is in the Email. All the requests are confirmed verbally, but they are not fulfilled. There is no real staff in the service.

Too many homelessness, too hot even with that portable air conditioner!

2/10 Poor

Place smelled like bleach and pine. No A/c only a fan. Opened a window, with no screens so bugs. Lots of rigamarole about getting in, check in at 5!, very inflexible about check in, threats of trespass etc. NEVER staying here again.

The room was very clean and comfortable, however I did not like the fact that there is no staff on property - they have a noise rule which I get however my last night around 3am someone was blasting the radio - when I got up to leave the next morning the lobby if you can even call it that was so trashed with empty white claw cans and food everywhere - could not tell if there was a party going on in there or if even a homeless person got in and just hung out and slept on the couch.. The location was not great, I did not feel safe walking around the immediate area due to the homeless so once I got to my room I just stayed put..

Poor information on checking in
I loved the trip and the hotel, but the check-in was a nightmare and I almost went back home! I’m glad I persevered. There is no large sign on the building and it is hard to find! Also it would help to inform people of the check in process up front!

The property is within walking distance of so much that Portland has to offer! It was quiet, clean, and very nice. Checking in and out was simple and quick, although I did not once see any staff on-site during my week stay. Staff was very communicative over text however, so I imagine if I'd had any questions or concerns they would have been addressed promptly. I highly recommend staying here for your next trip to Portland.

DO NOT stay here if you have a car. Even though they have underground parking in the building, they will not let you in - even after your car has been broken into.

The Barsala takes 300 for a security deposit and also parking before asking if you have a car. Also the elevator takes forever and you can't take the stairs.

The stay was here was great, walking distance to shopping and close to my new job. Management was very helpful when I needed to extend my stay.

Netflix, Disney, Hulu and other strea Ming services were included — A big plus . The only glitch was that checkin at 5 pm with a cell phone is very difficult if you have to spend all afternoon walking outdoors and your cell phone drains so you can’t even call anyone when there is a glitch in the checkin process

This place was nothing but a waste of time and money! I'm going strongly discourage anyone I know from going there if it's ever brought up! Trying to get the key out of the box at the front door around midnight hours was extremely frustrating and customer service wasn't much of a help either. Keep my money I'm tired of this headache!

Communication was great, and with an awesome location (so close to the West Hills for hiking, running and riding bikes in Forest Park). The unit I was in could use some touch up paint (as there was plenty of scrapes and scratches from use). I dig the building, manager and location so much, I've booked another stay already!

The room was well appointed, adequately stocked and really checked all of the boxes. What I didn't like was the sterile decor...which is totally just my thing....anyone else would be fine with it.
