Hotel Tou Nishinotoin Kyoto offers a truly relaxing stay with incredibly friendly staff who make you feel right at home. The rooms have a beautiful zen aesthetic that creates a peaceful atmosphere—I slept better here than in any other hotel. Plus, the convenience of a 24-hour laundromat just around the corner is a fantastic bonus. Highly recommend for a restful Kyoto experience!

We loved the style of the room/design of the hotel and it was a pretty good location. The bathroom was quite small compared to some other places we stayed throughout Japan, but it had everything we needed (so no real complaint). The 2 twin beds is perfect for a friend trip for everyone to have their own space while sleeping. The one thing we noticed here and throughout Japan is that the beds/pillows can be quite hard, but great duvet covers and easy lighting/outlet situation throughout the room.

The hotel is overall good but the environment is too dark. It is also not a convenient accomodation from Kyoto Station nor Gojo Station, esp in the hot summer. The air conditioning in the room is unstable and the room usually became really hot during the sleep. Hope the hotel could improve for this.
