Loved the hotel, Very nice, comfortable room. the location was great. Staff very friendly. The only complaint - while it’s a great idea to have coffee available for guests in the mornings, it needs to be refreshed during the morning. Also, the milk that I put in my coffee had spoiled.

Room wasn't ready until the evening to get checked in, and the elevator was out of service half the time.

The Normandy is a great place to stay. You feel like you are at home. The room was beautiful as well as the bathroom. The only downside is the 15.00 breakfast that is cereal, granola and muffins etc. But overall would gighly reccomend!

My stay never happened. They allowed someone else to check in my room without showing identification.

Pretty good for the price.
It was lovely to be close to Adams Morgan and other nice stuff but also in such a quiet neighborhood. It's a pretty building, and the rooms are pretty, too, but there seemed to be some struggle with running it. It's an old building, and it seems the HVAC wasn't working correctly. It was unbelievably hot in places, but my room was freezing with a fan blowing directly at my face all night. The front desk staff was one overwhelmed man doing his best. But for the money? It's lovely. Yes, the elevator is sketchy and the shower is a crying shame, but it's a quiet place to rest.

Beautiful Property Service Almost Nonexistent
I checked into the priority only to find out that I would be responsible for parking my own vehicle. A portion of the stairs were blocked off from pedestrian traffic. When i enteres the lobby the layout was odd. There was a wooden table at the front desk. There were two gentlemen seated at the table. Ibrahim was busy playing on his phone as a Caucasian gentleman was assisting. No one offered to assist with luggage. Went up to my room which was lovely & quaint. But it became an issue when i got into my bed early Saturday morning to find "crumbs" in my bed. I was VERY dissatisfied as this was my FIRST night in this room. Which means housekeeping never changed the bed or potentially beds prior to my arrival. The reason i didn't get under the covers earlier is because i fell asleep on top of the bedding trying to get warm i had to sleep in my sweats. Which was still unsuccessful. I contacted the front desk. & The fir night thom was consistently cool. The next issue that I had was the remote stopped working. Maintenance had to give me two different remotes before finding 1 that was FULLY functional. Then when it was time to iron clothing the iron was LOUD when we tried to utilize it. Not to mention that water leaked all over my guests clothing. I called & requested that another iron be brought to our room. That never happened & it belaboured us leaving the property for the afternoon. I received a somewhat abrupt/rude call from Nigel The Property Manager...
