Comfortable hotel with reasonable spa facilities. Hotel is undergoing some renovations. Parking and Breakfast was good. We only had a slight issue with a blocked shower but was resolved fast. Just my luck! Overall, was a pleasant stay.

Poor stay
Whole hotel was cold from the time we arrived until we left. Food service was only available in the restaurant from 19.45 on Friday and has we had two grandchildren with us aged 3 and 7 meant that we were forced to eat in the bar which was lifeless and again cold. Saturday we booked a meal out from the hotel at a time which suited us. Saturday/ Sunday morning disturbed through until 03.30 am by people with young children talking/ singing and generally not adhering to the advise by the hotel for consideration to other guests. Would not be booking. This hotel again in the near future.

Excellent
We really enjoyed our two nights here. Very friendly and helpful receptionist on arrival. Our room was large, very comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast buffet is excellent - the fried and boiled eggs were cooked to perfection. My wife enjoyed the use of the pool. The hotel is a little tired in places, but it is to be refurbished as a Hilton "Double Tree" shortly. Will definitely stay here again when we are next in Leicester.

Overbooking is no excuse.
When I book a room weeks in advance, I don't expect it to be given to somebody else. Okay, I was re-located to the Holiday Inn. but as my business was nearby, it involved going miles out of the way. Not to mention the hefty parking fee in the town centre. I'm not very happy and I'll be choosing the Marriott in future.

Stay at the Marriot next door.
Do yourself a favor and stay at teh Marriott next door. Hotel is remarkably run down. Stains all over the carpet, weird smells everywhere, the foyer door glass was cracked. Paint peeling from everywhere, signs worn away etc. etc. The whole place needs a refurb. Feels far too cheap for a Hilton. Despite all that, the bed was one of the comfiest I've had which in the end, is what you're there for.

Disappointing, very dirty room - Carpet stains, dirty walls, chipped paint, dirty tiles. Very dated. Surprised Hilton to let a hotel get in this state. Also why need for car park charges when the hotel is out of town? Breakfast selection good and staff were polite.
