Subway options are 10-15 min walk, CVS is around the corner. Pretty easy to get from airport to hotel via subway, getting off at grand central station. Great place to stay for bigger groups of 5 without the hotel fees or the hostel stress.
Place itself is pretty hidden but 4 great food options right next door for quick bites or lazy nights.
Place itself is ok. Our first time in NYC so can't really compare it to any other place. Our room for 5 had 2 queens in one closed off area and a bunk bed in the entrance area, also right by the bathroom, so it does give off the tiny apartment vibe with no kitchenette. Very homey, no bed bugs, exactly what we needed for our trip. Only downside was the shower tends to drip out of nowhere some minutes after someone takes a shower and the fridge pops open if the door is too heavy with drinks. Normal stuff really.
Microwave is only by the staff downstairs and they do hold onto your luggage before and after check in/out.
