Clarion Collection Hotel Savoy

Very convenient city centre location. Great breakfast spread, afternoon cake and an evening dinner are all included and are tasty and welcome additions. My room did suffer from a lot of noise from the tram route outside, but that was not the end of the world and I would stay in the same room again as the plusses outweighed the negatives for me. Comfy, warm and nice toiletries.

I’m a budget solo traveler so security and value are my top priorities in picking hotels and this one delivers! Great value for the price I paid. The staff was lovely, especially Silje, who checked me in after my long travel day. Compqct elevator. My single room was spacious with an armchair and reading lamp and a nice large desk with chair. The closet was nice sized with cubbies. The bathroom was efficient with a heated floor, blow dryer, and dispensers of hand soap by the sink and shampoo in the shower. Nice ledge to put my stuff on. Ample power outlets for recharging devices. Twin bed with duvet was comfortable. The breakfast buffet that is included is really good with many items to choose from. In the late afternoon they have “sweet treats” which was little pieces of cake available in the second floor eating area. Coffee and tea available as well. Also a light dinner is included which was one kind of soup, three different salads, bread, a hot meat dish, and a side. Also there is an espresso machine in the lobby that can be used any time. Security; room key is needed to get past the first floor so safety was not a concern. Location: five minute walk to national theater metro station. Two blocks from airport bus stop. Good central location but expect to walk a little bit to get anywhere. Condition of the hotel is pretty clean but kind of tired looking. For me this was easily overlooked due to the value and friendliness of the staff. Definitely recommend!

Convenient location but away from the tourist noise. Loved the evening meal option.

Construction everywhere- jackhammers during the day. Poor repair of furniture, walls ceilings (ours was peeling badly). It felt like a hostel- and not in a good way. The bright spots were the staff and the free food.

Superb location. Excellent staff. Wonderful breakfast and afternoon snacks. Quiet and comfortable room.

Had an enjoyable stay

This was a comfortable hotel in Oslo, not far from the City Center. The room included a light dinner and a good breakfast, both of which were enjoyable. The hotel staff was also very helpful. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

The hotel was nice and staff were friendly and polite but our reservation was not handled well. We booked and paid for two rooms months ago. We requested one of the rooms with two beds for our two adult children. When we checked in at 8:00pm, there were none available. They had to bring a rollaway into the larger room and the second room was the smallest room my husband and I have ever stayed in. It was hard to move around. They did move us the next day. Otherwise, it was a nice stay in a good location. Breakfast was good and the light dinner appreciated.

This promising hotel in Oslo's city center was very disappointing: booked for a romantic weekend with my girlfriend and while it was a promising place a few factors made it less than enjoyable: There were big city works right next to the hotel, generating not only noise but literal vibrations in the room from 7am until 8pm (hotel desk claim that it wouldn't bother us clearly false); the room was tiny even for Oslo standards, with barely enough room to get from the door to the bed; room service forgot to clean the room one of the days, and when we complained hotel desk simply handed us some clean towels "until the next shift"; and finally, due to the works outside the hotel, the last day there was no water in the room. Naturally, none of this was informed beforehand to allow for us to change our booking or make other arrangements. Other than that, the breakfast buffet was very good and the hotel's location handy, but the above cons were too much of an annoyance to ignore, especially considering the hotel's lack of transparency in advance. Regrettably, I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Location is very good but need to remind customers to get off in National Therater instead of Central Station. Breakfast is excellent and front desk staff provided detailed and clear advices as we needed. More, they kindly gave some medicine to us on our request.
