We LOVED our stay at Shilo Inns Mammoth Lakes. It's definitely an older hotel with a retro resort vibe. Yes, it can use some updating, but the price was on point and it was one of our very favorite places to stay during our three-week trip. The pool, spa, sauna, steam room were open 24/7 and the pool was actually heated. Covered parking meant we didn't have to worry about snow in the morning. Check in was a breeze. The room was huge and clean. A kitchen area with sink separate from the bathroom area (yay!) Beds were interspring mattresses of medium firmness. A seating area and plenty of space for suitcases and to spread out. We really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast truly is continental style. That could use a bit of improving with an easy addition of some hot protein - but that's a personal preference. Thanks for a great stay!

For the price and amenities we wanted (indoor heated pool, steam room, sauna, breakfast, room w microwave, fridge, functional sinks) it was ok; the hotel needs major updates, the hair dryer wasn’t working, but overall the place was pretty clean.

Not the cleanest place but not awful. Affordable for Mammoth, overpriced elsewhere.

Crying for remodel. Outdated really old. We stayed here because it is pet friendly. Well located, just walking distance of everything staff is courteous, clean room If it wasn’t for cleanliness and courteous staff. I would have given a one star. I would stay here again only if no option

Was overcharged by the hotel. No matter how understanding and polite I was, they wouldn’t hear me out. Finally I was told, “there’s nothing else to talk about”. I was Really taken back. The conversation turned completely hostile and rude. Like I had called complaining and yelling, making matters worse instead of being very understanding that mistakes happen and I’m sure once they hear me out, they will dig deeper than a paper receipt and realize their mistake. Nope. I had to file a dispute with my bank. Got my money back, but just sucks the way things played out.
