Courtyard Bowling Green Convention Center

Nice hotel. Nice staff.

We booked and paid for 3 rooms a month in advance of our stay. After 15 hours of driving in the car on the way home from spring break, we got to the hotel only to be told that they only had 2 of our 3 rooms available. They were "booked solid" and didn't have another room for us. The other family traveling with us had to drive another 1 1/2 hours to get a room in Louisville. The hotel was under construction which wasn't listed anywhere so none of the amenities were available.

This ended up being one of the worst stays we have ever had in a hotel. We travel a lot and this was just too much. Could have been worse, but we left feeling exhausted and cheated of any relaxation whatsoever. We had only learned of the construction upon arrival. Were told there would be "a little noise between 9-6 as she handed us the key. Decided it was fine due to not being there during those times. The noise while dropping off our bags in our room was soo loud we were literally yelling to hear eachother. Again, we wouldn't be there son we just decided to not make a fuss. The room was soo cold I had to get out of bed and go get a blanket, downstairs from the desk, due to them being short staffed she could not leave the desk. Around 11pm-12am a group of kids were running around and yelling outside the hallway. Because we could not a). Reach the desk due to the phones not dialing the actual front desk and b). What could she do? She couldn't leave the desk. So again, I got out of bed to address the situation myself. The construction above me started at 830 not 9, which coupled with the rest of the night was just exhausting with all of the inconsistencies. The "do not disturb" sign was on the door but housekeeping tried to come in anyway. Luckily I had the latch on because I was changing! That was a terrible surprise. I am just floored at how many things went wrong. It was such a terrible stay.

I understand that the hotel is undergoing renovations, which be great when completed. The only thing that I consider below par was the cleanliness of the room. The wall behind the beds were a dark color and when the lights were on you could see the dust and handprints on the texture of the wall. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I was making a holiday trip and wanted something quiet and comfortable. I'm pretty sure that I was the only guest that evening - I never noticed another car in the parking lot. The front desk help was very friendly and professional. I enjoyed my stay. I would note that a sign in the lobby indicated that all the ADA rooms were under renovation - if you desire that kind of accommodation, you may want to call ahead to verify that the repairs have been completed

It was a pleasure. Had an amazing stay. Relaxed and was able to find a Hot Toddy in the lunge for my chest cold.... and it worked! Great breakfast (should be complimentary for the price you pay, but good nonetheless).

Hotels.com did not send the correct confirmation number so check in was difficult. Air unit in room was not functioning.

Door handle was broke and had to keep going to front desk to be let in, guest services was amazing about it though and apologized. Spa wasnt cleaned out properly, kinda off putting. Food at bistro was great, well worth the money. However, at 9:15 when we were asleep still, someone unlocked door and tried coming in which woke us both up, we had the door hinge lock on so that prevented them from going in further. Checkout wasn't till 12 so it seems awfully early to try and enter a room when no one had checked out yet. Wasnt a perfect stay but was still good. Great customer service goes a long way and it overcame some of the hiccups.

The hotel room was nice and spacious, the only negative was that there wasn't a microwave and refrigerator in the room. Thankfully, we had a cooler and there was a microwave in the lobby. It was just a little inconvenient for heating up a bottle for our daughter.

Did not like the breakfast approach.
