Nice little place with alot of old touches. Motel was nuilt on 1951 so we enjoyrd some of the rustic touches. We were there for a concert, so only slept there but it was worth the cost.

This is a roadside north woods classic. Knotty pine galore. The room is small and had no frills (like a fridge or microwave), but it was comfortable for one night while on the road and reasonably priced.

Know what you’re getting
One of the most disappointing places we’ve stayed based on positive reviews. It was clean and the bed wasn’t too bad, but that is where it stops. Desperately in need of at least a minimal update. Feels like everything is original to the 50s. Private beach was not really usable. If we had paid half the amount I would not be complaining but for the price, we would expect a bit more.

It feels like you've been offered a room in a family friend's home. The staff are like people you've known your whole life, and the whole experience is exactly the quiet, accepting, laid back yooper experience you should be looking for in upper Michigan. A caveat: I wouldn't suggest this place to people who can't live without their fancy linens and pillow top mattress in the Hilton, it's much cozier than that, and it could make some people feel like they're not being taken care of the way they are used to, which is okay, people like what they like, you know? But overall, if you're looking for a quiet place to put your feet up and really feel welcome and appreciated, definitely check this place out!

I was approached by people that lived there asking me to use my phone right after I checked in. Staff was asking me where such people want and when they were coming back, which I thought was very odd. I didn’t stay the second night I paid for as I didn’t feel comfortable there. The beach on lake Huron was awesome

Escape from the traditional hotel experience
The room is like a cabin, with a beautiful beach and campfire space too. Wonderful value and an escape from the normal hotel room experience. Pet friendly and staff are very helpful.

Old fashioned motel with its original ambience preserved, access to a private sand beach is a plus. Otherwise it’s pretty bare bones. There was no free breakfast as mentioned by another reviewer. Probably would stay again but be better prepared with sundries and an extension cord
