Sleeping 6; 4 BEDROOMS. 2 WITH TWIN BEDS AND 2 WITH A SINGLE IN EACH. FRIDAY TO FRIDAY. TWO MEDIUM PETS PERMITTED. £30 PER PET PER WEEK. An unique family cottage superbly situated on it's own headland, overlooking the harbour with magnificent views over the marshes to the golf club and Scolt Head, offering a peaceful, rural retreat with grassed gardens and off road parking and boat space. An ideal retreat for fishermen and families. Originally just a '2 up and 2 down' fisherman's cottage it dates back to the 17th century and has been extended over the years and gives the impression that it sits on an island. Enclosed lawn opens up onto a private marsh with it's own mooring facilities. The village centre with pubs and restaurants is only minutes walking distance away. The property is comfortably furnished with Economy 7 night storage heating and comprises: Ground floor; Entrance hall. Sitting room with French doors to garden. Freeview TV/ DVD. Dining room. Kitchen with electric cooker, Fridge/Freezer, Microwave, Dishwasher and Washing Machine.Cloakroom with shower and washbasin. WC. First floor: Four bedrooms, 2 with twin beds and 2 with 1 single . Bathroom with bath, washbasin and WC. Parking; parking for several cars on the grass area next to the propertyGarden; Grass all around the property which is not enclosed and leads directly on to the marsh. Wooden picnic table and bench. A refundable breakage deposit of £100 payable with the balance. An additional charge of £30 per week per dog ( maximum 2 payable to owner with RBD) Returnable breakage deposit £100. (RBD) Owners will contact guest to collect payment nearer the holiday. Once owner receives payment then guest will be issued with arrival and departure details a week prior to their arrival. RDB is refunded back on to guests payment card a few days after their stay after owner/cleaner has confirmed no damages. WONDERFUL FOR BIRD WATCHERS, SAILORS, WRITERS OR JUST FOR CHILLING OUT! The very select village of BURNHAM MARKET (Chelsea-on-Sea) is only two miles inland from the coast at Brancaster Staithe. There are many excellent quality shops surrounding the picturesque village green, together with its restaurants, pubs and elegant houses. The exclusive villages THORNHAM, BRANCASTER, BRANCASTER STAITHE and BURNHAM OVERY STAITHE are all within easy reach by car, being only a few minutes drive away. Most have their own pubs, churches and village store/Post Office and properties in the brochure are not far from each of these. Most public houses in the area have their own special ales especially the centuries old smugglers inn, the Lifeboat at Thornham, which has a great selection of real ales. The whole area along this stretch of coast is famous for its scenic beauty and superb views over the local harbours and saltings and are a must for holiday maker and bird watcher alike. There is also a vast selection of local produce including seafood. Holkham Hall is not far away and there is a very good choice of bird observatories and nature reserves within easy motoring or even biking distance. Along the coast at HOLME, the ancient Peddars Way route starts, taking a straight course to Thetford which is still accessible, and well worth a visit for exploring the local countryside. The beach is quiet with a large expanse of sand, backed by dunes. This is where Seahenge was discovered; the 4,000 year old timbers were removed under a considerable amount of protest but it can now be seen in King’s Lynn
