Incredible customer service that served-us!!!
Guess what? I literally never stayed in the hotel. I didn't even breathe any of the atmosphere that was anywhere close to the hotel. Why the five stars? Because the customer service from Christopher at the front desk was the most top notch intergalactic experience from a place that I literally never stayed.. For circumstances beyond anyone's ability to control, my friend and I had to turn around before we even reached Bar Harbor. I spoke to Christopher about our plight and the way he handled everything was nothing short then some kind of a Greg Luganis super dive. Perfect 10! Not only was he kind, reasonable and treated me like his favorite cast member in The facts of Life, he gave us great advice for which we were deeply appreciative. I will be visiting Acadia National Park at some point as my schedule permits and all the reels on Insta couldn't distract me away from staying where Christopher and his lovely manager works. Ku-flippin-do's Bar Harbor Inn! My absolutely favorite place I've never stayed.

Charming and comfortable
Very attractive facility inside and out, without being pretentious. Even the grab and go breakfast was excellent except that I wish I had not eaten the well-crafted but too sweet muffin.

A nice spacious room with good facilities. Grab and go breakfast was handy. The location was easy walk into town and to restaurants. An easy drive to Acadia. The best thing was how friendly and welcoming the staff were and all the good local reccomendations.

Absolutely Loved Our Stay
The staff was the friendliest and most engaging I'd ever encountered at a hotel. Christopher and Penny were spot on in their recommendations for restaurants. The lobby was cozy, and there were blueberry muffins, fruit, yogurt, and coffee in the morning. Cider doughnuts and hot apple cider were available in the late afternoon. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. We stayed in room 7, which had a B&B feel to it and a balcony overlooking the quiet street. The location was ideal: a little off the beaten path, but walkable to shops and restaurants. The bike shop around the corner on Cottage Street was very convenient for renting e-bikes to ride on the carriage roads in Acadia National Park during peak foliage, which was heavenly. Highly recommended and would definitely stay there again!

The property is what I expected, but very expensive. I booked last minute & it was a National holiday so they raised the price.

My husband & I recently stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. It was one of the worst hotel stays we've ever had. Pros: The location is great. We walked downtown and enjoyed great meals with no parking hassles. The front desk staff is helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The lobby area had cookies and breakfast items and coffee/tea. Cons: The room. We reserved a Classic King. The room is described as "Victorian Elegance: and the hotel is described as "Completely Updated". We found the furnishings to be a mishmash of outdated and random unmatched pieces. While this may be a matter of opinion, we found it unorthodox for a hotel to be using extension cords and power strips (potential fire hazard) in the room. We resorted to charging a phone in the bathroom. Most "updated" hotels have nightstand lights with built-in chargers. The heating/cooling unit is right next to the bed, making it difficult to sleep when it runs. We could also hear the toilet flush in the room above every time it was used. Ear plugs helped us sleep through the night. To top it off, we called the hotel the week prior to arrival to ask about on-site laundry facilities. We were told they had an on-site laundry. We were shocked when we inquired in the lobby as to the location of said facilities, and were told they had none. Lastly, upon checkout, we were told because we booked with Expedia, they'd send us a receipt. Never happened. We wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great location! Walkable to everything in Bar Harbor but also away from the noise. We checked in later in the evening and Constance at the front desk called to get us into a restaurant close by for dinner. It was very much appreciated after a long day in the car. Would definitely stay here again.

Quaint Inn located just a few blocks from downtown Bar Harbor. Very clean, convenient, unique. Hosts had food recommendations and lots of information about getting around on our first trip to Bar Harbor. They graciously provided snack, coffee, cider and water throughout our stay. We would absolutely stay there if we are back in Maine.

Look elsewhere
We had reservations for several months, we were place in an outdated uncomfortable room. Staff was apologetic, did not offer an updated room. We left a day early.
