Tired
I used to stay here regularly between 2000 - 2009 and it was lovely. This last visit I noticed it was all a bit tired, the carpets along the hallways were fraying, the beds were lumpy and it appears they use mattress toppers instead of new mattresses. The staff were miserable too. I didn’t eat there, as locals had said the food offering was not very good.

Poor check in experience, not offered to book an evening meal, not advised one restaurant was not open, not advised where any of the facilities were situated. Fleeting info on where my room was located. Freezing cold corridors with very worn carpets. Found the brasserie, food was very average selection of beer was good. Bed was too hard, tiny poor quality TV in room aircon/ventilation very noisy the unit on the roof of teh building sounds like its about to give up. Check out poor, no inquiry on how the stay was and once receipt handed over a complete loss of interrest

Absolutely perfect stay until the morning we left. There was no hot water at all so no one in the hotel could have bath /shower. Felt it was dealt with very slowly still not fixed when we checked out at 11am. Not much of an apology from front of house.

Amazing stay. Could be more attention to minor details (better sealent in bathroom, dirty marks on the curtains and dust on top of mirrors) apart from that very clean. Great view from the balcony. Restaurant staff were brilliant they couldnt do enough for us and the food was amazing. Used the gym both mornings and its a great gym with all the equipment you would need
