2/10 Poor

Terrible

We choose this hotel because it was close to a location we were working. When we got to the hotel it was locked and we were not let in. We had to sleep in our car

We got there late in the evening. We asked to see the room it was disgusting. I have never seen anything like that. The smell was unbearable. We didn’t end up checking in we couldn’t stay there it was not possible. Very disappointing.

Oh the smell

This hotel has a musk of decades of mold and cigarette smoke. The only thing new in this hotel is the no smoking signs which are to little to late.

Snow Shoeing in the Poconos

Loved having the hot tub in our room! The location was great and had easy access to lakes and trails for snow shoeing

I could not have been happier stepping back in time. The accommodations are commensurate with the price I paid. The relics and old world charm of this place can easily be compared negatively when put up against a chain hotel, but the experience was itself a part of the journey. I will definitely stay again

2/10 Poor

Totally miss represented. Took 15 minutes to find someone to let me in to begin with. Piles of garbage on the property. If I hadn’t been so tired, I would have left. As there were only thin doors with no deadbolt or chain, I felt a little unsafe. To sum it up: a dump.
Kathy, 1-night trip

Clean room and very friendly staff.

8/10 Very good

Beautiful resort and beyond kind staff. Though a bit far from shopping and gas stations the quiet space is what this offers. The Wi-Fi did go out on the tv for most of the night but everything else was enjoyable and didn’t personally bother me too much to have tech issues. Definitely recommend!

A Nightmare Stay at The MappleMold hotel

I wish I could give this hotel zero stars. From the moment I arrived, it was clear this place was a disaster. The property is an absolute dump—trash littered everywhere, from cigarette butts to food wrappers, making the grounds look like a landfill. The building itself is ancient, crumbling, and reeks of neglect. The room was even worse. The overpowering stench of mold, cigarette smoke, and dog urine hit me the second I walked in. The carpet was damp and squished underfoot, clearly saturated with who-knows-what (though the urine smell gave a strong hint). The ceiling in the bathroom had suspicious holes—perfectly positioned for a hidden camera, which made showering feel like a scene from a horror movie. I didn’t feel safe for a second. Speaking of safety, the door’s lock was flimsy at best, barely latching, let alone securing the room. The whole place felt like it hadn’t been cleaned or maintained in decades. Mold crept along the walls, and the air was thick with a musty, smoky haze that made breathing unpleasant. I couldn’t sleep, couldn’t relax, and checked out as fast as possible. This hotel is a health hazard and a security nightmare. Save your money and your sanity—stay far, far away.

The owner was very helpful, he allowed us to check in earlier, even prepared coffee/tea.

10/10 Exceptional

The owner was very sweet and helpful. We spun out in the snow and needed a last minute place to stay. I felt so safe and welcomed at this place. He helped us out the best he could despite being in the middle of a snow storm. My boyfriend and I will forever appreciate all of the help the owner offered during a rough time

Old fashioned feel, Under new ownership. Still lots of updates need to be done
Meghan, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

This place is a dump, not worth the price, even if it was low.
Amber, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Gem of a place to spend some quality time. Just make sure you bring some locks for the doors.

4/10 Fair

Too Cold for me who is a hunter of 50+ years.

Poorly heated. Large rooms with 4000 watt spaceheaters! Probable room temp 68 degrees. Not good after skiing or hunting in very cold days. Furnace appears to be partially dissambled and would cost a fortune. No staff on hand that I saw. Place was quite beautiful at one. Would not recommed.unless it was $50 anight

I adored this hotel. The lobby was magical and filled with books, a piano, vintage decorations, and Classic memorabilia. The room was equally charming with four poster beds and wooden lamps and a door to an outside patio. The owner and staff were incredibly accommodating. Dog friendly place that’s truly unique. It was winter so I didn’t get to enjoy the lake, and will be back!

Very cute, well maintained and managed property Our Airbnb had a issue with an HOA, left us out, so we stayed here as we were left out on the cold This cute time capsule was perfect, we came for Christmas and once we’re arrived and met the staff we wanted to spend it here (Airbnb gave a credit that could not be refused) There is not enough room on here to express my feelings for this little place If we return, we know where to stay!

2/10 Poor

This place is outdated and stinks really bad!
