Great breakfast view but disappointing room
We were excited to stay at the Hotel Mundial after seeing pictures of it online. There are remedial works taking place and we were not impressed with the room. The bathroom was the worst part of the room. It was not clean and there was mold and dust in places. I’m glad we were only staying there for one night and didn’t make a fuss. If we were staying longer we would’ve asked to be moved. The breakfast buffet and the views from the panoramic view restaurant on the 8th floor were excellent.

Great location, great views
Great location, ideal to reach the trams, christmas markets and plenty of transport options outside hotel. Enjoyed the views from restaurant at dinner & breakfast. Dinner was a little expensive but was good quality. Room service very good when we didnt feel like going out. Wonderful views from room. Only niggles are lifts were difficult for two people with mobility issues. Rooftop bar only accessible by lift by asking staff. Believe work being done to improve the hotel, some of which was heard during night and kept us awake. Hotel in general could improve user friendliness but would stay again due to being a perfect location.

The Hotel Mundial was in an excellent location for all historic sights in Lisbon. Our AC didn't work, so our room was quite hot. Opening a window was not a good choice because the city doesn't sleep. Amenities in the room were great, and the breakfast was awesome with a 180 degree view from the 8th floor, of the city. The parking garage wasn't built for bigger cars, but we managed.

After viewing the Hotel Mundial web site, I was intrigued about this hotel, it looked modern and had a good vibe. I would like to say that I was quite disappointed. First of all, they are going through major renovations right now and to get around, including to the reception was confusing at first. I wasn’t advised that the property was doing renovations, otherwise I would have booked another hotel. The 2 nights I stayed there were loud and noisy with a lot of banging. I did not get any proper sleep and had to be at the airport early one morning at 4 am. I had requested a room with a nice view but I did not get that. my room was very old with old decor and smelt like smoke was sunk in the carpet and walls. It wasn’t pleasant, even my washroom was old and the shower was almost not working. For the amount of money I paid for my stay, I really expected better! When I wanted to go to the rooftop to view, I was advised there was a private party going on so that was also disappointing. The only positives I can think of are the bellboy, who was friendly, and the man at the front desk who helped me get to my Uber at 4 am in the morning. The area outside the property had a lot of weird people walking around, and it didn’t feel safe, so I am glad he assisted me and walked me to the Uber car. Very nice and professional man. I wish I had more better things to say but with the loud noises, renovations, unpleasant smell, my room and booking in general, I was not happy for what I paid.
