Disappointing experience
My family and I booked two rooms for Christmas Eve and added an extra night to enjoy the property and the Festival of Lights in Riverside. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing.
At check-in, the receptionist was kind and provided connecting rooms with perks for being Bonvoy members. However, one room’s bathroom was dirty, and the furniture was dusty. We had to request cleaning supplies to address the issue ourselves.
The following day, I confirmed with the same receptionist that extending checkout to noon on the 26th wouldn’t be an issue. Yet, when I called to confirm, another staff member said only one room could be extended, despite my membership and the property being visibly underbooked. This arrangement was highly inconvenient, as having one room check out at 11 a.m. while the other checked out at noon disrupted our plans.
Additionally, breakfast service was frustratingly slow and inconsistent, with conflicting information about the hours. These issues—poor cleanliness, understaffing, and lack of consistency—marred what was supposed to be a memorable family holiday.
This stay was far below my expectations and prior experiences at this Marriott property, leaving me uncertain about returning in the future. I had stayed at this property before and had a great experience, which is why I wanted to return with my family. However, after this disappointing stay, I’m unsure about returning to this Marriott property in the future. My family and I ended up before 11am
