"After a poor hotel stay on our way to our destination, staying here on our way home was such a relief. Beds were a bit softer than I’m used to (however some may prefer this) but they were clean, as was the rest of the room. Walls were thin and I could hear noise from nearby rooms but I don’t expect silence when I stay at a hotel. "This is a nice place. Quiet and clean. Had a good nights sleep. Nothing like fresh mountain air in north Idaho. If you need pampering and constant attention from staff, this isn't the place for you. If want a good place to stay that is clean and quiet and just just do your own thing, this is a great spot. We have family in Spirit Lake and this was our fist stay here and will definitely be back here. They are pet friendly

"The staff at Blackwell Hotel went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and informed. The service was outstanding, the food was delicious, and the staff was warm and friendly. The Hotel is a beautiful old house with a classic environment. The lobby was warm and comfortable. . . a good place to get some work done or just relax with an afternoon coffee.
