Madrid and related destinations

Between the grand boulevards and hidden tapas bars, Madrid reveals itself as a city that never quite sleeps. Admire masterpieces at the Prado Museum, where Goya and Velázquez compete for your attention with surprising intimacy. Plaza Mayor buzzes with street performers and cafés where locals debate football with operatic passion. The Royal Palace offers rooms so lavishly gilded you'll wonder how anyone actually lived there. Mercado San Miguel tempts with tapas counters where you can point at whatever looks good – it all does. Football fans shouldn't miss touring Bernabéu Stadium, while evening strolls along Cava Baja reveal bars where the croquetas arrive unbidden and the wine flows freely.

"This hotel has it all: great location, beautifuly decorated and spacious rooms, the bathroom is outstanding with a hot tub, super clean and modern swimming pool with a sauna room and great views from the city. The fact that is right in front of Plaza España creates a relaxed environment and its walking distance from the Royal Palace as well as fantastic restaurants. Next time we’ll come back to Barcelo hotel qith no hesitation"

10/10 Excellent
"This hotel is 100% highly recommended. Price is a steal with breakfast for 2 included. Location is perfect close to restaurants (5-10min walk) but away enough to be quiet and safe. Staff accommodations was absolutely top notch, from front desk to breakfast restaurant team. The breakfast team was very accommodating and making great recommendations. Room is clean and good size and amenities are nice (Nespresso coffee, Dyson hair dryer, etc ). Bathroom has good water pressures and hot water is perfect. AC is working great given outside temp was in the 90s really helped. We will definitely come b.ck again next time we are in Madrid. Check out my pics."

10/10 Excellent
"Except for some slight snoring from another person in the room, and who came in late, this place was quiet and brilliant for a hostal. Nice to have an en-suite shower, separate toilet, and separate sink in every room. Curtains across the bed, and bunks where the movement of the other person doesn’t affect your own sleep. Lovely decor and convenient location. Be aware that you have to pay extra for a towel. I didn’t have the breakfast, but there is a buffet for 10 euros at the cafe downstairs that is part of the property. Thanks for the stay."

8/10 Good
"Overall a v good stay. Location, and the roof top pool is excellent. Staff is friendly and efficient. The breakfast is good (apart from the "scramble egs", which are powder made and unacceptable at this price point. Yes I know you can order omelette instead but still) but could do with more variety one fay to the next. The bread and pastries were fresh and v nice. The hotel is on the expensive side too."
