6/10 Good

Basic, ill maintained and cheap
You get what you pay for, such as this remote room. No WiFi in room, have to go to reception/restaurent. Toilet did not flush. They couldn't fix it. Argument with other guests who didn't get enough rooms, they tried to sleep in our room. Breakfast not included.

A unique place to stay in a beautiful location. Stunning walks in local oak woods just up the road, a homely feel with local crafts for sale and a friendly welcoming atmosphere. Thank you :)

Want a Great stay ..this place is a must.
Fantastic service and location, off the beaten track this is a must for anybody who wants good old fashioned Scottish hospitality. The staff are brilliant , friendly and kind. The food is good and tastey served hot with a log burner warming the restaurant. The rooms were spotless and warm with comfy beds and warm showers. We can't recommend highly enough.

10/10 Exceptional

Relaxing and scenic. It's a long way from the nearest phone mast and the wifi cut out sometimes, but you come here to get *away* from it all. Service is friendly and personal. Food is tasty, not elaborate. This is definitely not a chain hotel, though. I came here to relax, to depressurise, and to cycle through beautiful scenery - and I wasn't disappointed. There are some quiet forestry trails along Loch Shiel towards Glenfinnan, and the main road is very bike-friendly too.

2/10 Poor

The grandma owning this place and this other guy working there are a shame for the scottish people. Every scottish person I met was lovely and super nice but the elderly women there is rude and just wants your money. They're advertising Wifi but it's not working and if it would work it would only work at the restaurant. Asked a guy working there about the Wifi issue and he was answering in such a rude way, couldn't believe it. Well, after he basically told me that it might work at some point or not I asked the elderly women if I could call home since I could not sent a text message due to the wifi. She gave me the phone and everything worked out. I ate there, paid for my meal and then she really was asking for a pound for calling? I was thinking is that really true right now? She told me that the wifi would work for everybody whilst the other guy 20 minutes earlier told me that it doesn't work sometimes. I refused to give her the money and was glad that I only stayed there for a night. There was no TV in the dorm or in the common room nor in the restaurant. Waiter at the restaurant was lovely tho. Wouldn't recommend.
