The hotel to stay in hakone
With such a wide selection to choose from, We are so glad we stayed at ten Yu. The food was delicious and abundant and the views from the onsen were wonderful.

2/10 Poor

Disappointed
The first room we were in was filthy with mold and fungi spreading across the walls, dirty bed sheets and hair that was not ours on the covers. My wife is vegetarian and the dinner options were absolutely horrible, feels like they never prepared any meals for a vegetarian guest, with most dishes consisting of lettuce and some other vegetables, and barely any cooked food, the food quality decreased drastically since my last time. Not recommended and not worth the price. They did swap the room once we called them and the staff was very nice and kind, but I expect more value for my money spent.

Spa trip to experience Japanese onsen, and Japanese food with the set banquets. Everything from check in to room, onsen pools, dinner and breakfast was excellent. The location was great and would have been better if it wasn’t raining when we visited!

Top notch service
Excellent "resort" hotel in a lovely setting within Hakone National Park. Highlights include very relaxing onsens, a very comprehensive breakfast, and the most helpful staff we have experienced on our trip so far. Special mention to Ken Ishida and Fujita Kanko, who both went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. A great base for visiting the Hakone NP's many beautiful places.
