Loved our room, there was a door that would bang really loudly throughout the day and night waking us up and giving us a fright.

No room at hotel
When we booked in were not in hotel but across the road in an annex 4 flights up. So had to get coats and all on to go for breakfast and dinner not at all a relaxing time. This should be stated on booking ?

Real character in older rooms
The hotel appears to be partly renovated, we were in an older room and absolutely loved it for our 1 night stay. The shower needed an update, but the room and fittings were in good shape, bed was comfy and everything was clean. The red and white toile finishes gave real character and it was so quaint it's almost a shame they're being replaced! The only downside was parking. Anyone can park in their car park so we had to park elsewhere as it was full (with some people parking badly and taking up 2 spaces). The beer and cider selection in the pub downstairs was very poor, but not really a problem as the location is so central that we could easily go elsewhere. Breakfast was good too.

Not the relaxing stay I had hoped for!
I never normally write reviews, but I was quite shocked by the size of my single room when I arrived at the hotel. I had paid just over £90 for a room which friends joked was smaller than a dogs kennel! I did go down to reception and enquire whether they had any larger rooms (I was happy to pay to upgrade) and was told that if I had wanted a larger room, I should have booked a double room - not quite the answer I was expecting! I also had to book into breakfast (which is understandable due to Covid) but was told there are no late slots. Myself and some friends who were staying in Pitlochry ate at the hotel that night which was a chaotic experience. The staff got my main course order wrong. We ordered a dessert which never arrived and also a whisky that never arrived. This was taken off the bill after we made the staff aware, but the service was not great. Overall, not a very enjoyable stay which was a great pity!

1 night stopover
Evening stop over in Pitlochry before hillwalking the next day. Nice room and good service. Pleasant enough evening meal too, although slightly basic menu.

Lovely Lockdown Leisure
Any current review must allow for the conditions imposed to protect both customers and staff. With that in mind we had a great stay earlier this week and need to thank Andrew and his team for continuing to look after us during our recent stay. Warm, welcoming and willing to help make things as normal and as enjoyable as practical.

Poor 2,0
Absolutely shocking My mum was waiting to get in the disabled toilet and a member of staff barged in front and was in there for about 15 mins flushing toilet several times My mum actually wet herself whilst waiting on the staff member.Mum had to go shower and change across the road I may add,no mention of across road rooms with 4 flights of stairs, mum can hardly walk. Upon returning to hotel and complaining what happened the assistant manager tried fobbing them off with saying the guy was cleaning ..... no signs no equipment but insisted he was cleaning ...... Mum said toilets were disgusting floor all sticky and dirty and bin overflowing so cleaning I don’t think....... DISGUSTED
