Venice and related destinations

Glide through shimmering canals on a gondola while Renaissance palaces rise from the water like architectural magic tricks. St. Mark's Square buzzes with café life beneath the Byzantine splendour of its basilica. The Grand Canal presents a parade of palazzos best viewed from the Rialto Bridge, where merchants have haggled for centuries. Lose yourself in narrow calli where laundry flutters overhead and tiny bacari serve cicchetti with glasses of local prosecco. The Doge's Palace reveals opulent rooms where Venetian rulers once plotted their maritime empire. Teatro La Fenice offers world-class opera in a setting that has literally risen from the ashes multiple times.

All’Angelo Art Hotel

All’Angelo Art Hotel

8/10 Good
"I enjoyed the location of the hotel, just of St Mark’s Square. However it was in an area where it was hard to get my luggage to/from the hotel. As a solo mature aged female I needed help with my luggage and because of the location of the hotel I had no other choices but to use a water taxi 80 Euro to hotel and a whopping 105 Euro return to Venice SL station. The latter was a real rip off by water taxi owners. However, it made things easy being in the centre of the activities, especially for visiting the Biennale locations. I thoroughly enjoyed all the Biennale & Co Lateral Biennale displays especially Homa Faber"

"This hotel is very well situated - just a short block from a water bus stop and an easy walk to San Marco square. The room we had was small but comfortable. The building is old so getting to and from the room was a little convoluted, but we figured it out. The breakfast was very nice. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. 4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Venice

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Venice is during January, February, and November when hotel prices are at lower levels. For a great value for money experience, it’s recommended to stay for at least 2 to 3 days to adequately explore the city’s remarkable landmarks and cultural attractions. During this time, visitors can enjoy the stunning architecture of historic churches, delve into fascinating museums, take romantic boat rides along the canals, and savour coffee in charming cafés, all while soaking in the rich history and art that Venice has to offer.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To explore potential last-minute deals for hotels in Venice, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals section on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to remain informed about flash sales and exclusive last-minute promotions, ensuring you don't miss any chances to save. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you make informed choices. With these features, you're more likely to be the first to know when prices drop or rooms become available for your Venetian getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on various factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates may help you find better rates for your stay in a Venice hotel. For those in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer improved value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher end, we may suggest alternative dates that could help you secure a more favourable rate.
  4. Consider your location: Staying nearer to key attractions or city centres may offer convenience, but it often tends to come with higher costs. For more budget-friendly options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, where you can strike a balance between price and accessibility to the sites you intend to visit. You might also look into independent hotels situated a bit further out, as they can provide a more authentic and usually more affordable experience.
