Clean Room
Room was exceptionally clean. Some late hours noise from adjoining room, but we put in ear plugs. I do take exception to being charged $35 for early check in when we arrived @ 2 pm and counter person said they had a room ready, She never said there was an early (1 hr early) check in fee. We would have declined and just changed for the wedding in the hotel bathroom rather than pay the $35 extra.

Our employee was not allowed to check in due to age restrictions, the hotel does not have any restrictions listed on their policies nor is it listed on the Hotels.com site. Our employee was going to sleep in her car and then we found out another employee was already checked into the hotel and that employee was only 18.

Did not know until I checked out that they charged me an additional $20 per day to park my truck and boat, no where was that declared on the Expedia listing, nor found on the hotels page. I did not find out until I went to the gas station across the street that the area was under a mandatory boil water notice signs were posted there, no signs posted at the hotel, so I had already taken a shower and brushed my teeth not knowing. I took photographs of lamp shades that clearly have had water damage with mold. They did not post on line or notify people with reservations that the hotel restaurant/bar was closed. The only good thing was the fresh breakfasts and an employee named “Dimple” who was very nice and accommodating. This hotel only exists because of the Lake Fork fishing destination and to stack boat parking was sad, especially since I have stayed there pretty much yearly sometimes more than once a year for last ten years and back in the day they would never charge for boat parking especially since the lot was specifically designed and marked for boat parking. I may stay somewhere next time.
