Hotel Moon & Sun Porto

Hotel Moon & Sun Porto

10/10 Excellent
"we only had 2 days left on our Portugal trip and ended it based at teh Moon and Sun. It is a fantastically situated city centre hotel (so there is city centre noise til after midnight - be warned :-) ) We wanted to be able to roam around the city easily, and the Moon and Sun facilitated that. They informed and advised us on the options, and we had a great time seeing the sights, and returning to the luxury sanctuary at the end of the day. The hotel itself is immaculate, and the staff are fantastically helpful. The room was super and the massive shower was very welcome."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Porto

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most economical time to visit Porto is during January, February, and November, when hotel prices tend to be lower. This duration allows you to explore key landmarks, including the picturesque port and river, as well as charming cafés, romantic spots, and significant monuments. Visitors can enjoy budget-friendly shopping, delightful dining options, and enriching tours at museums that reflect Porto's rich heritage. Overall, this trip provides great value for money, especially for those travelling on a budget.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To explore last-minute deals for hotels in Porto, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals section on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates as your travel date approaches. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you stay informed about availability and price changes for your preferred hotels. 3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could assist you in finding better rates for your stay in a Porto hotel. If you're interested in unique accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer greater value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we can suggest alternative dates that might help you find a more favourable deal.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Porto's exceptional public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well linked. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
