Pleasantly surprised. It’s not a fine hotel by any means, but it’s a good place to stay for a night or two. The staff were very helpful and checked me in at 3 AM after my flight. The location is good and the building itself is special. And it was less than 1/5 the cost of the Intercontinental.

Brilliant stay in one of my favourite buildings in the world. Only minor feedback would be to have more plug points near to the bed in the rooms. Also, there were only 8-person tables at breakfast which meant I had to share with strangers which is not ideal for a solo traveller.

Huge hotel that every body knows about. It needs to be upgraded and better manitainence. A litte bit to walk to find a shoping mall and what is more of downtown, (if Tashkent have a downtown.)The beds are a bit on the harder side, but that seems to be normal in Sentral Asia. The number of tables at breakfast is to little so we ate in the adjacent bar. The Sightseeing buss starts its rounde outside the hotel. We tried to eat in the 16th floor restaurant at new years eve, but every thing was fully booked, so had to walk around 1 km to find a restaurant that could serve us. We where in the 16th floor bar at midnight but wery little fireworks for new year. Since it is an old Intoursit hotel and not a modern one, it have to few sockets to conect chargers both around the bed and at the workplace.

The facilities are a little old, but they are well maintained. The price is not expensive, so don't expect too much. It's right in front of Timur Square and close to the subway station, so it's a convenient location for sightseeing.

Great location. The concrete facade is imposing and that's the attraction. My room was very spacious although not perfect, it was very nice and acceptable. Currently the reception area is being modernised and I was told that rooms will get modernised as well.

This hotel is located near metro station and bus stop which airport bus arrives. But super markets are far from this area. It is convenient the hotel has bank to exchange money and early check-in service(available from 6 a.m. this time) The room I stayed has enough space to rest.

I stayed 1 nights at Hotel Uzbekistan in Feb 2024. Hotel Uzbekistan is a great hotel in Tashkent. Rooms are nice and clean. Hotel Uzbekistan is next to Amir Timur Square and Amir Timur Metro Station. Great place to stay. I recommend Hotel Uzbekistan for visitors to Tashkent.

Fantastic Building and room..noisy no hot water
What an amazing building and so iconic. Magnificent location and amazing at night when lit up. The room was very grand with super soviet furniture and decor. Alas the plumbing wasn't right as little hot water in shower but loads in the sink. Noise from the night club meant we didn't get a great night's sleep but overall glad to have stayed in a hotel with history. Refurbishment is underway with the lovely weirdly done already with very modernistic style more like that of a trendy cafe bar than a classy hotel. Really hope the room refurbishments don't lose their grandeur but would be scared it becomes just another standard hotel.

Hotel uzb room 921 screw is loose on the room door latch Electric panel door need to be tightened Safe box need to have batteries and need to be bolted to the wall Toilet seat is rocking. Need to be stationary. Air conditioning not enough for this size room, always warm in the room. Breakfast is very generous and delicious. Rooms are nice and hood size but need a little maintenance.
