Rooms were not cleaned to a very good standard, lots of bits on the floors, behind sofa and beds. Very dusy in bathroom on window cill. Mirrors were very streaky. Room smelt very musty on arrival even though the windows were left open before we arrived.

8/10 Very good

Very basic accommodation, didnt have high expectations from the reviews. No bed linen just quilts and pillows. Entertainment is good, food and drink not massively over priced, most staff friendly enough except one bar maid who was a miserable b@#!* and shouldnt be working in hospitality. Dont go expecting modern immaculate facilities because you will be didsapointed but for a few nights break its fine. If you book more than one chalet then phone and ask for them together otherwise you wont be near each other, we phoned first to check and were opposite each other but would have been miles away if we didnt call even though we booked 2 on same booking. Recommend the buffet breakfast in Queen Vic pub for £6.95 adults £3.95 under 12's there is a good range, didnt try the evening meal there. Swimming pool was closed on Monday for some reason, staff didnt say why? All in all for a cheap and cheerful holiday Pontins is fine and we enjoyed our break for a few nights - would go again!

It was interesting to say the least, but then I suppose for £55 a night, the sofa bed was broken so an uncomfortable sleep for us, there were no sheets but maybe that was a Miscommunication the bathroom was clean and it was quite funny washing my hair and the water keep stopping like I was at the swimming baths lol An eye opener for the children if nothing else.

Pontins You live up to your very poor reputation
It’s no secret that when you book Pontins you no it’s not going to be the best…and that’s fine it’s a decision you make..our son was stopping with some friends on a site close by and we drove down last minute with our daughter to see him..we stayed at Pontins for 2 nights…cost £177 for Thursday & Friday night stay…you get what you pay for..except we didn’t..no reception staffed..no pool…very very poor sleeping facilities..an oven and bathroom not fit for purpose general & very basic levels of cleanliness not met..no doubt it’s down to staffing levels..site itself was very run down and again the basic requirements not met everywhere just looked dirty and very run down buildings unused children’s play areas fenced off..The frustrating thing for me was that visually the site and accommodation could look a million times better with minimal cost and a little bit of effort..Pontins You Live Up To Your Very Poor Reputation in my opinion I’d avoid this place at all costs and spend your hard earned money on something that is at the very least clean.

Just rough. Don’t go there unless you’re ok with people drunk and fighting with each other. There was a massive brawl on the front outside reception. I had to dodge so my 6 year old didn’t see. Just nasty and awful. Check-in queue was over an hour long.

Avoid at all costs!
On arrival, we were greeted with a site that looked like it had been recent bombed. Check in, i was handed an envelope with a key, 3 sets of bed linen and that was it. There was no 'hello' no instruction of where we needed to go. Lots of people holding bed sheets was like arriving in prison. The room was dirty, and smelt dirty, one drawer had a hole in it. There were no pillows, despite asking 3 times we still didnt get any. The bath was only suitable for babies or people with no legs and one of the windows didn't close. The toilet seat was in 2 pieces and couldn't be attached to the toilet! despite reporting this, nothing was done. Avoid at all costs, this place is a hell hole and the pictures are not representative of what you get. A truly horrible experience and a 'holiday park' that belongs in the dark ages. Truly shocking for 2022.

Pontins is great for families wanting an unpretentious base for their holiday. My kids loved the bouncy castles, play areas and trampolines. I was annoyed at Expedia not mentioning that towels were not included! Also the price I paid through their website was far more than going directly to Pontins! This is a 2 star ‘bed sit’ not a hotel and I paid £84. Won’t be booking with Expedia again but would go back to pontins knowing to take towels. The staff at pontins are very friendly but be prepared, it’s a basic place.

Not at all what I expected!
Didn't end up staying. I arrived in the evening when dark . Got given key but wasn't informed about the meter as when I eventually found it ( number displayed on window , hence the difficulty finding it) and entered ; no electric. Member of staff called to sort as needed to press certain buttons on the meter in order for it to work. Rip in wallpaper and hole in wall . Bottom of wardrobe all chipped. Huge spider in room which was the decision maker to leave .
