The best little community park! Walking paths, exercise, and quiet. John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park was nice, but due to high winds, no glass bottom boat tours that day. Shopping s close. Plenty of good restaurants.

Key Largo is a very busy area but there are a lot of nice, fun places to eat and drink. The sunsets are amazing. The negative is the volume of traffic.

Dolphin rescue; kayaking in Mangroves are good options when too rough for diving.

Key Largo is a great overnight or weekend vacation spot. Enough to entertain for 1 or 2 days, but not a lot in area. Good overnight location if heading down to Key West, which is just 2.5 hours south.

Good starting point to explore the entire keys. 1.5 hours from Miami, 2 hours from key west. So many good hotels, restaurants, shops & other services.

This is one of our favorite short trip destinations as we are from central Florida. We love to dive and being right next door to Rainbow Reef dive shop from this hotel is perfect. Lots of great restaurants nearby and fun little shops.

This is my 4th or 5th trip to Key Largo. If you are a scuba diver it is your type of place. There is plenty of good food, shopping and activities. I have stayed at some good places that were relatively inexpensive.

Restaurant choices, from snacks to gourmet dinners, are abundant on the short stretch we traveled from Key Largo down through Islamorada. Very relaxed and tourist-friendly folks all around us!

There are a lot of shopping and dining options in Key Largo. It had the most noise from police car sirens compared to other Keys we stayed in on this trip. Plenty of things to do.
"This was a beautiful quaint little resort. It had a private beach. There were kayaks and paddle boards available to use. We had a wonderful stay here and will definitely return."
"this is a great place to stay! There is a really nice pool and a really nice beach and depending on where your room is neither one is very far to walk to!!!! There are nice chaise lounges and great beach towels! They have a lovely gazebo at the end of one of the docs and they also have a boat ramp for a small boat!
You can sit in that gazebo and watch the sunset and it’s amazing or you can sit in the water and watch the sunset!!!!!
It’s centrally located so there’s lots of places around to eat and drink!!!!!!! I loved it and plan on returning!"
"This is where life long Florida people should stay to fully enjoy a real trip to the keys. Beautiful bungalows, immaculate bathrooms and linens, attentive staff, well kept. We spent the 2 nights before at the giant expensive Faro Blanco in marathon and the room was dirty, there was zero air conditioning in the corridors. We won’t be staying anywhere else but the Pelican for all of our keys cations!!"
"This is a nice property. We got there late so we didn't get to see too much that night but we got up the next morning and walked around. Breakfast was great! Pool was.nice, I loved the little beach."
