"The highlights of the stay were the excellent breakfast buffet. It was really impressive. The more the guests, the better the offerings.
We were half board so had dinner as well. There weren’t enough guests on half board so there wasn’t a buffet but the hotel allowed us to order anything on the menu. The drinks on the last night were comped which was quite nice.
Stella from F&B was a standout. She was incredibly welcoming and helpful and very understanding, helping us get comfortable at the hotel.
The other staff member who helped us was the young man at the door. He helped create a great impression for the first time, we didn’t see him much so I couldn’t catch his name.
The other staff especially front desk really lacked hospitality and bedside manner. Requests to answer questions or open the garage were met with “what!?” as though we spouted blasphemy. Very strange and uninviting.
The hotel parking is convenient but kind of a pain to get in — you have to send someone up to front desk to have them open the gate while you hover there blocking the street.
There are two pools and I would rate them as satisfactory because they are very small.
The location is excellent. Just adjacent to the museum and our room had a wonderful view of the port and the water.
We enjoyed our stay there."
"I had a wonderful stay at Sofia's Hotel. It's incredibly convenient, located just a 10-minute walk from the airport. You can also take Bus #6 for only €1–2, which drops you off very close to the hotel. I chose to walk, and it was an easy, pleasant walk.
The service was exceptional from the moment I arrived. The front desk staff were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with any questions. The hotel has a nice pool and an on-site restaurant, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of options.
The room was clean, the Wi-Fi worked well throughout my stay, and the price was excellent for an overnight stay. If you're looking for a comfortable, affordable, and convenient hotel near the airport, I highly recommend Sofia's Hotel."
"Beautiful hotel with rooftop bar and gym, rooms are clean and spacious.
Easy check in, staff were very friendly.
Close to shops and restaurants . Located right across the street from the Heraklion port .
I would definitely go back and strongly recommend this hotel."
"Great location, staff was polite and helpful. Would have been perfect except that escalator was out which required us to carry all our luggage up almost two flights from the street to the lobby.
When we left the reception made arrangements for us to use a side ramp which was easier
Breakfast was very good with great choices"
"Wonderful hotel. Close to the main street.
The area the hotel is in is a bit sketchy but walking 2 minutes you’re in the main town.
Staff was incredible. Restaurant and bar were great. Highly recommend."
