Marathon guest house
A decent bed for the night, with on suite toilet (no toilet paper though).
Decent shared kitchen to use if required, and a quite area at night.
Overall, I'll book with Darwin Guest house again.

Horrible. Dirty, bed was hard, toilet was disgusting, trash everywhere. Building stinks of cigarette smoke. And to make matters worse, the owners ignore your messages. AVOID. not even worth £5 per night.

Smelly, dirty, health concern!!
Don’t stay here !!! We left after 15/20 minutes we was approached by someone who lives in here and questioned aggressively as why we was there. We entered the room to the smell of cigarettes the whole room looked like it had never been cleaned!! The bed was covered in dirty stains. There was a used smelly towel in the wardbrobe. The toilet had skid marks in and had not even been flushed let alone cleaned!!! We arrived at 10.30pm after a long drive and left at 10.45pm and got another hotel somewhere else. You can’t get hold of the hotel they just ignore you. The photos on this hotel look nothing like what the room is like. Do not book this place!!

Disgusting
This room was disgusting. Extremely dirty. Bathroom had not been cleaned. When I pulled back the duvet, it was clear that the sheets had not been cleaned either. There was a bad smell and I could not stay. Stayed just long enough to book alternative accommodation and then left. Some of the pictures online were not from this location.

Unterirdisch!! Nach 20 min haben wir uns eine andere Unterkunft gebucht. Baustelle im Nebenzimmer, Matratzen uralt und durchgelegen, Schrank fällt fast auseinander, demolierte Türschlösser, klein TV. Einfach schlimm.

On arrival it did not appear that my room had been cleaned as evidenced by trash in the bin, dirty coffee mug and spoon (single in a room with double occupancy). There was no toilet paper. Took me some time before I discovered the light switch the door. But then to my horror it only illuminated the absolute filth and grime of the toilet. The room was stifling hot. No hangers in the robe. Clutter in dresser top drawer. Bedside had curled up slippers in top drawer & horrific stains in the bottom one. Bed was disheveled, one pillow case half off. When finally contacted by agent (name never provided) I was advised that room was missed as there was a complete changeover of all 5 rooms that day. I repeatedly requested clean sheets be dropped off, even volunteered to make bed myself. They never arrived, and at that hour I could not source suitable alternative accommodation. This meant that I was forced to sleep sitting up in hard backed chair using my flight neck roll to support my neck. Consequently, I my sleep was limited & of very poor quality.
