Trip was amazing. Stayed here for a few days before our cruise. Everything was excellent except the late evening noise (music and a shuffling sound) from the other side of the wall. Location was outstanding and we would definitely stay here again.

The place is absolutely gorgeous inside! We loved all the plants on the 2nd floor and the rooftop access overlooking Plaza Colon is stunning. The owner, Maricruz, was very helpful and responsive. The location was the best part, within walking distance of everywhere in Old San Juan, directly in front of Plaza Colon and Fort San Cristobal. Beautiful! We can’t wait to go back! I highly recommend this hotel!

Great historic location in Old San Juan
Amazing location in a beautiful historic building in the heart of Old San Juan. Steps away from shopping, bars, and restaurants with a view of Castillo San Cristobal. The walk to the cruise terminal at pier 4 was about 8 minutes. Maricruz, the owner, was so friendly and helpful also. Will definitely stay again!

Maricruz contacted me with all the info I needed to check in later in the evening and was helpful the next morning holding our luggage while we toured the city. Only trouble we had was with the wifi and phone signal not sure if it was because we were on the ground floor or what but overall everything was good and we would stay again!

Wonderful stay. My room was through an inner courtyard, clean, quiet and with good A/C. Everything in Old San Juan is easily walkable and the property and surroundings feel very safe. I would stay at Hugo’s again and highly recommend it tosnyone visiting San Juan.
