I have never left a negative review, but feel I should because I chose this hotel as a result of all of the positive reviews that it had. The check-in process was lovely and the staff was great in the office.
However, once we got to the room after our late check-in, the room smelled like a wet dog. As a fully booked pet friendly hotel, we decided to look past this & attempt to run the air conditioner to get some of the smell out. We went to bed. The beds are fine. However, that night, when getting up to use the bathroom, we discovered there were bugs both on the nightstand and by the sink. After some googling, we determined that they are likely roaches. Since it was the middle of the night and we had all our stuff there we went back to bed as we had an early event in the morning. Looking around the room further we found dog food on the floor assumably from the last person to reside there, other dead bugs that have been squished on the floor, a dead bee, and dust/hair/dirt that made apparent a vacuum or broom, had not been used in this room quite a bit of time. When showering we found numerous smashed bug carcasses along the ceiling telling us that we’re not the first to find bugs in that space. The space had no trash can. The maid left a trash can, but didn’t make beds or clean?? We left early.
I travel often, and this is the dirtiest hotel room I have ever stayed in. After rereading all the reviews it’s extremely disappointing.
