It was difficult to communicate with the staff at the front desk because they couldn't understand English. Very poor room service, our room wasn't vacuumed for two days and we had to call the manager to see it herself. The breakfast was very good and the staff in charge of the breakfast were excellent. Awkward moment
The Marriot Suzhou is at a quiet area away from commercial area. You need to take a taxi to the close by shopping areas and tourist attraction. Other than this, the stay in Marriot Suzhou can be considered as perfect. Check in was a bit disappointing. The staff handling the check in was probably not trained properly. She informed that all is done and passed us the room key to go to our room. While walking to the lift, she suddenly rushed to us to tell us to make payment for the stay first. Strange and awkward indeed.
