We really enjoyed our stay at the Rex Jazz Bar Hotel in Toronto. We were pleasantly surprised by the beautifully renovated room, especially considering the age and character of the building. The bathroom had been completely updated with a modern shower, toilet, and sink, and everything was spotless. The bed was very comfortable, making for a great night's sleep. The only downside was that there is no elevator. However, carrying our luggage up to the second floor wasn't a major inconvenience. We also wished we could have spent more time enjoying the live jazz performance in the bar downstairs. The singer was excellent, but we had an early morning departure to Montreal, so we had to call it a night earlier than we would have liked. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend the Rex Jazz Bar Hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable hotel with plenty of character and a fantastic live jazz atmosphere.

We booked a shared bathroom room and it was never an issue. This place is unexpectedly cool, with a jazz bar downstairs. Staff were incredibly nice! The rooms are bare but clean and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We are already planning another reason to stay. We loved it!
