great stay really enjoyed our stay the nearby dog park was really perfect only 2 blocks away. Both breakfast and bar were very good, employees were cordial and friendly

The Omni King Edward Hotel
We had service personnel enter our room unannounced while were in, this is not appropriate, and we did let the front desk know. We also came back later in the evening, only to be told by the front desk there was no hot water to shower. At the rate of $422 per night, I had higher expectations. The hotel itself is well located in the heart of downtown Toronto. The staff were all very pleasant and the hotel was clean and the bed very comfortable.

not great for solo female business travelers
wonderful hotel and reasonable stay. the door staff were not helpful when I arrived with several heavy suitcases and were not helpful with opening and closing doors when I left the hotel. also, the fire alarm went off after 1:30am and was a false alarm that kept ringing throughout the hotel till 2:45AM. also, hotel room service staff asked intrusive questions when they dropped off my room service meals. I requested a bath tub and they were not able to accommodate my request. room lacked well stocked courtesy snack bar and the refrigerator was very loud (I unplugged the refrigerator - no in-room snacks or beverages were provided, therefore, did not require the use of the refrigerator).

Great stay!
After a major fiasco with Airbnb, and the Omni came through in a big way for us. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the room lovely and exactly what we needed after something so stressful. The only reason it gets mid-level rating for location is because it's in the financial district. The area is completely dead on the weekends and after about 6 p.m. There are some great places that are walkable, but if you're looking for some more "hip" places to eat beyond Subway and McDonalds, you'll have a hefty walk, an Uber ride or a hop on the subway. Overall, though, this is a great hotel, and you really can't go wrong.
