I booked the room late in the evening and didn’t spot that it was a shared bathroom. However, there was a sink in the room, a toilet a few doors down the corridor and the second toilet/shower room was a few doors further on. The shower room was clean and fully stocked. The shower itself was one of the best I have experienced. So we were very happy with the accommodation. The hotel location is excellent, a few minutes walk from everything. The hotel is home to a great jazz/blues club and there was no noise audible in our room, my wife and I slept very well both nights. The food in the club/bar is very good and well priced, so much so that on the second evening we ate in the club and stayed for the music. The staff are very professional, friendly and helpful. I would recommend the Rex to visitors.
