Despite an upgrade at check in the service was very patchy, no bath robes until day 2, no one a seeing phone for ages etc. A classic building but looking tired, fake speaker by tv had collapsed in revealing nails, exposed and antique plugs, rattling air con etc. The one thing it has going for it is location

Brilliant hotel that couldnโ€™t be any closer to the Bund if it tried-wonderful. A great suite with a gorgeous view of the Bund itself. Bathtub in room is a decent size considering itโ€™s Asia (some tubs are kinda small).

The room is well decorated and clean. However, the hotel management needs to step up their games. It took almost one hour queuing in line before I could check in, which I According to the staff, it was because there was a sudden surge of booking, which didn't make sense to me.
