Last minute stay
Just me and my young son went and we were given a lovely room that was big enough to fit a travel cot, well stocked with tea, coffee sugar and lovely toiletries on offer to use. When I contacted owners about something, it was sorted so quickly and the house keeper we met was lovely

Very pleasant Stay
Very pleasant stay, lovely view of lake, good location easy to walk into the town. Room was spacious but bathroom was very much on the small side. Bed was very comfortable & room was very clean. I would happily stay here again.

2/10 Poor

I didn’t have a very good time because I had just had a small accident so wanted to relax, when I arrived I hadn’t been given a code to get in and there was no reception so couldn’t talk to anybody in person, I had to use WhatsApp which took a long time and was outside the property for 40 minutes with another guest who was also stuck outside. When I got to my room, which was on the third floor (I have a disability so this was not ideal) the bed slats were broken, there was no hot water and the room had no hair dryer so having had my accident I wanted to tidy myself up but had to have a cold shower and sleep with wet hair although I asked for a hairdryer and was later told the hot water takes 30 minutes to warm up, on top of that there was no lock on the bathroom door so it kept blowing open in the wind and the toilet faces the hotel across the road so they had a lovely view when the wind caught up. Oh dear, all I can say is the staff were very polite. All in all, not great.

Not enough characters to expalin it all
If you’re on the hunt for a hotel experience that’s both laughably bad and utterly unforgettable, look no further. First, let’s talk about the check-in process, which could double as an endurance test. After a grueling journey, we arrived only to be left in lobby limbo for 2.5 hours. I started to wonder if they were handcrafting our room just for us, one brick at a time. Spoiler alert: they weren’t. The bed in our room was a broken, sloping into a V-shape that forced us to cuddle whether we liked it or not. Each movement triggered a cacophony of squeaks, We didn't sleep; we just tried to find the least uncomfortable position and prayed for dawn. The decor was an eclectic mix of "abandoned warehouse" and "crime scene." Stains on the floor and bedding told stories we didn’t want to hear. The bathroom was a real treat. The door didn’t lock, adding a touch of voyeuristic thrill to our stay. We’d been promised a bath, but that was as elusive as hot water. Speaking of which, our showers were an invigorating plunge into hypothermia. The room’s smell could The room’s smell could only be described as "mystery meets mildew." It’s the kind of aroma that makes you question your life choices. And for those who appreciate vintage technology, the TV wasn’t flat screen. It was a bulky relic from the past, like the rest of the room’s décor. Trying to reach the owners was as fruitless as finding a clean spot on the carpet. It’s as if they knew better than to stay there themselves.

Was a decent stay! Only complaint is a weird odor on the top floor, along with an almost empty soap dispenser in our room upon arrival. Other than that, a pretty good property in a convenient location!

A taste of the lake
The location itself is very accessible to nearby shops and restaurants. The hotel is easy to find, parking is first come first serve, fortunately we managed to get one. The hotel is very tidy and kitchen well-equipped, everything's in order like keys and i love that instructions were clear so no issues upon our arrival. The room was very neat and clean, we have all what we need. I would recommend a little tidy up with the balcony as it would ve a great place to dine in the summer. The view of the lake is beautiful too. Sadly, the weather didn't favor our trip as it was raining all the time. Will love to go back and stay here in the summer. Thank you.

Good location, otherwise, meh
Great location! Easy to walk anywhere and centrally situated. If you need an extra pillow, blanket or towel or roll of toilet paper there is no one to help you, there is no service to speak of. When we did reach out to the proprietor, we never heard back from them.

We had a lovely stay in a family room in Berry Boutique. The room was perfect for our needs. 2 comfy double beds and a bathroom. The property is perfectly located to be able to walk to all the local amenities. We could watch the boats on the lake from our room which was lovely. We'd didn't use the kitchen but it appeared well equipped. We would definitely stay again.

Very nice - Will use again
Great location in Bowness. Close to the Village center. Not too easy to find initially. Only 3 parking spaces that were taken up but plenty of car parks around and reasonably priced. The room was comfortable. The bathroom was very small but perfectly useable. Overall, very nice and will use again.
