Let down by rude staff and restaurant
As far as the room goes, it was fine, clean, albeit a little basic for this price point. Bed was a little hard and furniture needs updating. Disappointing parking is charged (8 EUR) considering the location and basic rough grass / gravel parking. However, main issue and reason for this poor review is down to the frankly rude and abrupt receptionist when checking out. All down to a dispute over meal charges for supposedly my dinner included room rate. When seated in the restaurant I asked the server if there was a set menu etc. for my dinner included room rate, she wasn't sure but would check. Nearly 20mins later I eventually got an answer that I could order from the set menu or a la carte, surprised I double checked this and she again confirmed whatever the bill amount it would be deducted from my bill at check out. Meal itself was ok if nothing special but the service was incredibly slow for a half empty restaurant. At check out I was then presented the bill for last nights meal, I politely stated my room had dinner included and received a response of 'NO, you must pay'. I then showed my email confirmation with 'dinner included' and ensued a near 20min battle with the receptionist. Who eventually said ok we deducted 35 EUR but you must pay the rest. I told her I'd checked this with the server and round in circles we went. Eventually after a huge amount of frustration she slung my bill at me and said 'ok, goodbye'. Very poor customer service, I won't be staying again!
