It was nice to be just walking distance to Madison Square Garden and Times Square. The breakfast buffet was a nice bonus to start the day. I liked the comfortable bed and large screen TV. Great Hotel- newly renovated with lovely rooms. Breakfast was really great with lots of options. They also have free coffee around the clock, as well as free cookies and wine from 4 to 5 pm. The staff were super nice and friendly. Location was close to trains and very walkable to restaurants and parks. Will definitely stay again!

I was a little worried about staying here because of the mixed reviews, but we had a great experience. When we arrived, there was an issue with our reservation that was our mistake, but the staff was very helpful and fixed it quickly. We stayed for 7 nights without any issues. The breakfast was simple but good, and it wasn’t as crowded as I expected. The elevators were a bit slow in the mornings, so taking the stairs is easier if you’re on a lower floor. The room was a decent size for New York and was cleaned every day. There are also a few good food options nearby, and it’s just a short walk to two convenient subway stations, which made getting around the city really easy. Overall, I could stay here again.

During our stay, we received texts from the staff asking about how our stay was going and whether the staff could do anything more for us. That has not happened in our other hotel stays, and certainly not in a moderately priced chain hotel like the Holiday Inn Express. Breakfast was free and contained the usual offerings, but a cut above in variety. The location on 29th between 7th and 8th Ave was perfect for walking to nearby restaurants.
