We booked on the beach, told had a garden view, 3rd floor, no lift. Ok that’s fine! NOT told, that we were NOT actually staying at “On the Beach apartments”, we were at Trocus apartments, in the street behind, and a few blocks down? Arriving at night, couldn’t find the room, because it wasn’t at that address?.. rang for help, Gerard did arrive, and accused us of not reading our instructions! No we were NOT given any! My sister was also staying there, and picked up our key from reception that afternoon, the manager, Kath, told her straight up the stairs at the back, 3rd. Floor, no lift! And Gerard was angry to be called out? Accusing of us not reading the “map”! If I had known our apartment was not in the same address as my sister I would not have booked it! 2 tea bags for 2 adults with a 4 day stay, Spa bath doesn’t work, plug doesn’t fit the bath! No safety marks on glass sliding doors, and NO path way lighting up flight of stairs, on a very dark path, lucky for mobile ph torch! Service was zip, for entire stay, no fresh milk to replace the 100 ml one given, !!!! We laughed after, but as 60 year olds it would have been safer to be told the true address up front! They “ manage” other places as well! Good for them, just be honest with the booking agents, the apartment was NOT the one I thought I had booked! Not at the address I booked at? Expedia you need to follow this up! So very disappointed on our otherwise lovely cairns visit!
