Soooooo dirty in the rooms. Very visible dust bunnies, and I felt like I was going to get bed bugs. I'm itching right now just thinking about it. It definitely is a 3 star hotel, not a 4 star. Bathrooms in dilapidated stage -- I stayed in a room with red curtains. I would suggest you stay in an upgraded room, or just stay in a different hotel. Both mattresses were also flimsy and you could feel the springs. The sheets were very clean and comfortable though.

Serious updated needed in the bedrooms
Definitely not a smoke free room, room’s are old and in serious need of an undate. Bed incredibly hard and uncomfortable

Great location for sight seeing and shopping
Excellent location, central to all main sites and bus stops. Staff nice. Room size small for a family. Cafe bar next door not very cosy, could be great. Breakfast was limited for the cost but handy. Would I stay again, yes, fantastic location.

First time in Rome!
Hotel Cosmopolita was a great place to stay! The location is amazing, very safe area and walking distance to all the big attractions like the Trevi fountain, colosseum, Roman forum, and right in the city centre. We never needed a taxi or bus transit to get anywhere except the Vatican, every other monument and museum was walking distance. The staff are super friendly but my only concern was that the Wifi was extremely slow and the rooms are quite small. Overall very clean and the staff was willing to help us with booking tours and buying tickets.

If you request a different room you get downgraded
Unfortunately we did not like the tiny bathroom on the 4th floor where our room was located. The room had a nice view. We asked for a different room twice. The rooms we were offered were far worse. We ended up in a room on the first floor without a view and noise from the backyard. The room was a total downgrade. The breakfast was not good.

Hotel Cosmolita
The room itself was very good, the staff at checkin and checkout were also very good. My only issue was the staff at your adjoining snack bar/bar. I found the staff at this bar to be rude and unaccommodating. My friend and I went there on a couple of occasions and the service never got any better. Our server was rude and disrespectful, almost as if we were intruding. I hate to believe it was because of her age (young) but I can’t put my finger on any other reason, she was horrible.

Black mold/stinky
I’m surprised this hotel got over 8 stars!! The staff the first day were terribly unfriendly and unhelpful. When asked about a concierge the worker at the front desk had no clue what I wanted and handed me a map. The next day we had a helpful attendant at the front desk who made up for the first day. Our shower had BLACK MOLD everywhere (not to mention I could barely fit in it, it was way too small, and I’m not a big person) and the bathroom stunk up the entire room! We asked for it to be cleaned and they came up, dirtied the floor, but did nothing to clean the shower. The bedding consisted of a sheet! There was an old green rough blanket in the closet which wasn’t worth using (unless you wanted to sleep with sand paper). So the first night we froze, the walls were incredibly this and you can hear everyone and all the street noise. At best the location is what gives this hotel any stars for me. I felt like I could have stayed in a holiday Inn and It would have be less cleaner!!

Overall good experience at Cosmopolita
Overall we had a please take stay, the hotel is located perfectly. The breakfast was satisfying and the staff very welcoming. however, We stayed at a renovated room which the hotel charged 20 euro more per day. The room was located on the 1st floor. We had a small lower window facing the street that we couldn’t even look through let alone open. There was no closet, nor drawers for personal things. There were not enough hooks (Only 1 to be precise). I think that on future trips we will definitely want to go back but will check the room before.
