An Okay Stay
We had a few issues. Biggest being getting food poisoning from having breakfast. This was disappointing because I was stuck in the room for two days of the seven I was there. Management did not offer any recourse, I believe we should have received some compensation. Also the rooms and corresponding pictures do not match. The hotel blamed Hotels.com for using wrong pictures but their website showed same. The front desk staff were friendly.

Good stay, could be great with full rehab
Good stay, great location, but it could be a fine destination with a full rehab of the property.
There is a bad smell in all of the rooms that we visited and common areas for certain, as referenced in other reviews.
There is also a lot of great inner lobby space, like maybe they removed the pools and spa etc, that was vacant but was cool looking. Could be great and well needed cocktail bar for the area.

Great location and good hotel
The location of the hotel is really convi ient ,next to Chiado metro station and to some nice cafe and restaurants.
The hotel overall is decent although the sitting area in the ground and 1st floor has a mouldy odour. The room was lean and comfortable. The breakfast has a good variety of options but some of it could be of better quality.Personnel was friendly.

Loud and Musty
Do you like trying to sleep in a nightclub? If you do, this is the place for you! For our family, however, it was a nightmare. Or it would have been, if we’d been able to sleep at all. Our room was literally and directly on top of a club - when my husband went to ask the concierge at 2am if the thumping and bass were ever going to stop, the concierge asked what room we were in and then nodded - completely unsurprised as though he gets complaints regularly from guests in our room.
Also the property and particularly the bathroom have a strong musty odor. Very unpleasant.

Highly recommend this hotel
Had a great break with me, my partner and my 16 year old daughter. Lisbon has so much to offer and would recommend. The location of this hotel was amazing, couldn’t have asked for now. A cafe and bakery right next door along with other numerous cafes selling delicious pastries. Nothing bad to say about this hotel, room was huge and so was the bathroom. Nice and quiet, no complaints

Excellent location in the heart of Lisbon's tourist area, all tourist attractions can be reached on foot, the metro is just a few steps away, restaurants and shops. Very good service from the hotel staff.

Great location and building, some drawbacks
The hotel itself is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The location is extremely convenient for exploring Lisbon. However, as other reviewers have mentioned, there is a noticeable mildew/sewage smell (especially on the main floor) and it's a very noisy area. There's constant music and people on the street out front and the windows aren't very soundproof.

It is an okay hotel. This place only has its location going for it. Our first impression was terrible—the front staff was very rude and unprofessional, even rolling her eyes as soon as we walked in. It was the last day of our trip to Portugal, and we’d had such a great time, but this young Portuguese woman left us with a sour memory
