This was the first of four hotels we stayed at in Fukuoka, and easily the best in value. Catching the buses and trains from the airport was a bit tricky, but once there, the service, room (Modern Japanese was wonderful), dining and hot bath was excellent. If our other three hotels had not already been paid for we would have cancelled and stayed at The 358 Sora for the entire week long vacation. Highlights of our stay were the great service during the breakfast buffet, the Hoshi private bath for only 3,000yen/hour, the lounge on the 11th floor with an open bar of coffee, tea and cold drinks, the Island’s Eye community, and the bird’s eye view of the impressive industrial operations on the island.
There’s a little shopping center a minute’s walk from
the hotel with eateries, hair salon, grocery store, craft/dollar store which we spent a day at.
It was our first and favorite stay in Fukuoka. Arigatou!
