We loved our 6 night stay at the AKA Nomad. Our corner room was spacious and surprisingly quiet. The only thing that was a bit weird was their coffee policy. The first night your in room coffee is included, but other nights are charged a fee. Otherwise we rates this a fantastic find and will stay here again.

The hotel is in a great spot for walking around Midtown, and the staff was great in letting us know about the city. There was also plenty of cabinets and drawers to store clothes which I loved! The only real issue was the doors on the hallway we very loud and slammed a lot, we had people beside us that came in all times of the night and woke us up.. but the city is busy so if you want a "quiet hotel" or to sleep in I wouldn't go for this one..or get noise cancellation ear buds. The light over the coffee station was never explained to us until the last day we saw it on? then had to call to find out how to cut it off. and we also had to ask numerous times to have it restocked and cleaned.. room service was not available on Sunday but it was Labor Day next day so we just ordered uber eats.

Hotel is in a great location and has a nice libby set up. I booked a balcony room that looked nothing like what was shown on the website. It was a tiny weirdly shaped area that overlooked the light well and exhaust fans of the buildings around it. The room was tiny. I've stayed in at least 30 NYC hotels so I get it - but this place was microscopic. Again - not what was shown on the site. Its clean, convenient, and quiet. But really basic especially for the price. Hotel quality has gotten so much worse, while prices have skyrocketes since NYC banned AirBnbs.
