This hotel is just average. Pretty much a rent a room. They rooms are good sizes for NY. Bathrooms tiny and not well maintained. No coffee machine in rooms but there is a Starbucks on the corner downstairs. Bar upstairs is ok - the Mexican place within the hotel was ok.

This was the first time I stayed at the Empire and I must say it was really good. The staff was very responsive and keen. Our room was quiet and well appointed. I must say, the shower had the best pressure washer I ever experienced! The location of the hotel is excellent and everything we needed was just a short walk away. The pricing was reasonable. If I ever need to stay in Manhattan again I will definitely book here.

The hotel room was decent, but the bed had an older mattress for sure and the curtains for total privacy wouldn't exactly stay closed because the HVAC unit in the room blew air right on them and you'll wake up with a 4-5" opening every morning where people can see right into your room.
